Dr Stephen Philcox FRACP - President
Dr Philcox is a gastroenterologist and interventional endoscopist. He underwent training in Sydney and Brisbane before heading to North Carolina to undertake a fellowship in interventional endoscopy at Duke University.
This was followed by a brief stint as an attending at Duke University Medical Centre and the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Durham before returning to Australia to take up a staff specialist position at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.
His practice encompasses therapeutic EUS and ERCP and he has a special interest in all things pancreatic.
Dr Philcox is the current President of the Australasian Pancreatic Club and is an abstract reviewer for pancreatic submissions to DDW.
